My name is Miss Clegg and I am the teacher of Room 14, a great group of Year 1 students.
In Room 14 we are aspiring to be self-managing learners and like to have choice in our learning.
In our classroom we regularly
integrate fun and technology into our learning.

This term we are having loads of fun with our buddy class! We have planted some sunflowers and we are also making a mural together. We are also having loads of fun preparing for athletics!
We are also loving learning about animals. We made some very cool dinosaur fossils!

This term Room 14 has been working hard towards our Windust production. They have been learning lots of songs and also a class dance with Room 6! This has been lots of fun. The children are now all ready to go for their 3 shows!

Every second Thursday Rooms 4, 5, 6 and 14 have discovery time. This allows children to be creative and explore their interests. In our discovery we focus on spotting children who show ROAR (respect, responsibility, resilience and ready)

Room 14 took a fun trip to Lake Rotokare! We learnt all about the bush and the birds. We got to experience bug sucking and we touched some pretty scary predators like the stoat!

In Term 3 we are going to be doing lots of exciting learning. We are learning about shapes in Math as well as learning about our five senses (smell, touch, hearing, sight and taste). After our Rotokare visit, we will have the chance to learn about animals and plants and their different senses.
We will also be super busy preparing for our production!
